Dear Bicycle Friends.
Bicycle shops remain on the "Essential Services" list in Alberta.
We will remain open and will continue to adapt day to day and do whatever we can to keep our community rolling safe and healthy.
To adhere to government restrictions and align with the guidelines and recommendations from our health officials, we've made some immediate changes to our operations.
We have moved to "Appointment Only" Service/Sales.
To limit contact points, reduce exposure risk and maintain social distancing practices, we are encouraging "curbside" Drop-off and Pick-up for service and sales.
For Service and Repair :
"Curbside" Drop-off and Pick-up.
Book your service appointment online (Click the Button at bottom of page)
When your appointment time arrives - drop your bike off in the rack in front of our shop and one of our staff members will retrieve it and wipe it down with disinfectant.
We'll deliver a full estimate over the phone or via email. Once we have your approval we'll proceed with recommended service/repair.
When your bike is ready, we will contact you to arrange payment options and pick-up time.
When you arrive - call the shop and we'll disinfect your bike and place it back out in the rack.
Book a private "By-Appointment-Only" in-store shopping opportunity:
This option is for healthy customers in need of:

For this option, we have a strict Look, But Don’t Touch policy. Our staff is more than happy to retrieve and show product to you. This will ensure we can limit contact points. (No helmet, glasses or clothing fittings).

Let us help you fight bike shop withdrawal. If there's something you are looking for, give us a call or reach out online. We are happy to send vids or pictures of product, dig up specs and find what you are looking for.
Online, Email or over the phone purchase options with "curbside" pick-up available and Free shipping in Canada with orders over $50.00 (sorry, no bikes)
We are honored to continue to serve our community. Thank you to our customers for your continued support and patience while we adapt and work out the kinks of our New Temporary Service Operations.

ABOUT SHIFT HAPPENS BICYCLE REPAIR
I fell into the world of cycling by luck. In a little hamlet 20km outside of Lesser Slave Lake, Alberta, I was watching TV on a Saturday (after my fill of cartoons) and stumbled across the 1999 Womens world cup mountain bike race in Canmore. This was my very first exposure to mountain biking. A year later I joined the DirtGirls Mountain bike club with my Mom. There started the journey. As we fumbled our way through the rankings and events, breaking bikes and parts, we would often chat about opening our own Bike Shop.
Fast forward to today, 17yrs of riding, racing, wrenching and coaching all things bikes. Here we are, in our 6th year as a friendly neighbourhood bike shop.
Oh, and here's the link to the results archive from that 1999 world cup. I even have a signed Jersey from the legendary rider in 1st place!
